One of the advantages of traveling with our daughter Rebecca, is that we have followed her love of, as she says. “All things food”. We’ve visited wineries in Sonoma and Oregon, breweries – both on the beach in Pacific City and a pub walk in Portland, cheese factories, specialty restaurants and even the “world famous” Voodoo Donuts in Portland.
We’ve also had gourmet meals that she has excellently prepared in our own tiny RV kitchen and even invited our friends Terry & Sue for a great meal when they caught up with us in the Redwood National Park. She loved our evening visit with our Habitat friend Erika, who traveled and worked with us in Botswana. Erika has a condo in the Pearl District of Portland, with great views and access to many of the things our urban daughter loves.
We’ll spend our last 3 days together in Seattle – I’m looking forward to adding some galleries & museums to her “to do” list – along with Pike Place Market, Olympic Sculpture Park, Pioneer Square and visiting our Habitat friend Marty and Jen and her fiance.Looks like I will be doing more tourist activities than painting here – so much to see and so little time.
