We’ve had a a few brief moments of sunshine in Homer! Yippee! What we’ve lacked is decent WiFi, so I’m accumulating blog posts with paintings and photos to put up on at a later date – when I add them I’ll date them as I originally wrote them.
Tomorrow we’re taking a float plane to Katmai National Park. We will be tent camping for four nights with 57 other brave souls in Brooks Camp—protected by an electrified fence from the estimated 1,000 big bears that come to the nearby river to chow down on spawning salmon. Wow!
Check back at the end of next week (July 13) for bear stories, photos and paintings!
Looking forward to reading more about your adventures and seeing your paintings. Sounds like the trip continues to be a real adventure. Best wishes from Juneau.
