Homage to Ansel Adams: Snake River Overlook
A painting by Susi Havens-Bezaire completed on July 20, 2016
High winds, smoke from three fires and changing light all contributed to making this a 3 day plein air painting. Although the trees have matured and somewhat block the view—it is an excellent spot to paint! It is said that this iconic photo helped convince Teddy Roosevelt to create this National Park and a copy was sent to outer space to represent the world.
