I saw the lupine from the road and stopped to ask the owner if I could paint his back yard. He first introduced me to George, his Sprinter Spaniel, then said, "I'm Jim from the Gym." Jim is the Athletic Director for Paul Smith's College. Both Jim and George stopped by a few times as I was working on the painting.
