My 4th and final "lefty" painting - using the Technique Mixte of applying thin layers of glaze to a value study. I finished this the same week I was able to put away my cast. The Technique Mixte methodology dates back to the Dutch masters Hubert & Jan van Eyck where multiple layers of glazes are applied to a complete value study. Egg temerpera is replaced in the glazing medium with Methyl Cellulose, which doesn't decay. and provides great luminosity to the painting.
