View from Little Mountain

Residents of Mt. Vernon recommended that I check out Little Mountain Park to get great views of the San Juan Islands and Olympia National Park and the Cascades. I arrived at 7:00am and discovered that the park road had a gate that didn't open until 10:00. Determined to see the view, I grabbed my paint bag and hiked 940' up the hill - huffin' and puffin'. It was worth the climb!
