Nine months on the road is a long time for Dave & I to be away from our family and friends, so we have been thrilled that Rebecca and Ben, our children, have each been able to join us for a part of the journey. We also look forward to having Jai, Dave’s brother, with us in the Canadian Rockies.

Ben has been with us for two weeks of Kenai travels through Anchorage, Homer, Seward, Portage, Whittier and now Talkeetna. Soon we will lose him as he flies home to continue his studies at The Ohio State University.

This has been a bit of a respite for me, and I admit to enjoying a little more time to be a tourist with my family in this beautiful country. It’s really difficult to paint while on these glacier and wildlife tours, so, just this once, I’m pandering to my tourista genes and showing off a few of my favorite pics from the past two weeks.
