I confess, I have scenic envy. Although I have seen spectacular scenery on this journey—the desert and the Western USA coastline are all beautiful—Vancouver Island tops the chart when it comes to great painting spots.
Vancouver Island offers so much to a painter – busy harbors, mountain views of both Canada and the USA, great architecture, luscious gardens, First Nation lore, deep blue lakes, rushing rivers, sandy beaches, and rocky coastlines.
Did I mention that Ohio has lots of flat farm land? The Al Frescoes are very fortunate to have such a spectacular and diverse island to paint all the time!
