Gulf Coast Collection

Three months in 2009 along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi was an immersion in the melancholy of destruction from Hurricane Katrina tempered by the budding hope of thousands of people working to rebuild their homes, businesses and lives.

I’m thankful that the impressionistic nature of my plein air painting style is well suited to the creation of representational images that capture such intensity.
