Sunset at Yavapai Point

Artist Curt Walters suggested the way to paint the canyon is to pick a spot and return daily at the same time. That is what I did with this painting—a difficult job to plein air paint such a diverse subject when the sun is going down! Three days for 3 hours each from 5:00pm to 8:00pm made the results worth it.
